Note
The functionality for manually uploading a signed contract is intended to be used as a backup means for signing a contract if the customer is unable to sign it themself.
The following steps show how to manually upload a signed contract:
- In the Rental Search view, click the Edit button for the contract you want to upload a signed contract to
- From the edit rental contract view, click the Documents tab and then click the + button in the upper right hand corner
- A popup will appear prompting you to upload the signed rental contract. Once you select the file, click the Save button to upload the contract.
Warning
Take care to ensure you are uploading the correct file and that the file you are uploading is a valid, SIGNED, rental contract. The system has no way of verifying this automatically and the file you upload will be treated as such.
Note
Much like the standard contract signature process, manually uploading a rental contract will cause the contract status to change under the following circumstances:
- If the contract is in Modification Pending, inspections are required. Once the inspection is complete, the status will be automatically changed to Open Contract.
- If the contract is in Modification Pending and inspections are not required, the status will be automatically changed to Open Contract.
- If neither of these conditions are met, the contract status will remain unchanged.
