NOTE: Only brand owners are able to set up EMV devices at this time.
- Plug in the device power cord and connect it to a router via an ethernet cable.
- Note: If you have a corporate firewall, please ensure the following:
- Allow outbound https port 443 traffic to tripos.vantiv.com
- Allow TCP/IP traffic to port 9001 of device.tripos.vantiv.com
- When the device displays an activation code it is ready to pair.
- If the activation code does not appear on the device screen, try resetting your device by holding down # and the yellow button
- Note: If you have a corporate firewall, please ensure the following:
- Click on the circle account button in the top right corner of your screen, then select “System Settings” from the dropdown menu.

- In System Settings, go to the "EMV Devices" tab under the “Payment” section.

- Ensure that the correct location is selected. The location is displayed in the top right half of the screen.
- Hit the + icon in the top right corner of the table

- Enter a display name, terminal ID, lane ID (this can be any number between 1-99), and the activation code displayed on the device
- If the device supports signature, check the “Supports Signature” checkbox in the bottom right corner of the pop-up.
- Verify that all information is correct and then click the "Save" button

To test the device:
- Navigate to the "Rental Search" tab under the "Counter" section

- Click the + button at the top right corner of the table to create a walk-in rental contract

- Select “Yes” when prompted with the screen below

- Make sure the pickup location is the location that you used to set up the EMV device

- Go through the checkout steps until you reach the “Payment Information” section.
- Hit the + button at the top right corner of the table to create a new payment ledger

- Select the "Swipe Card" option
- Choose a transaction type (Sale/Auth)
- Choose the payment type (Total + Deposit, Total Amount, Deposit, Other)
- Choose the lane you just setup
- Hit the save button

- Complete the transaction on the EMV device
