How to Get Started

  • In the upper-right-hand corner, go to System Settings →Payment Config and click the + button
  • A modal will pop up to enter a display name and click Save
  • You'll be redirected to Stripe's website, and Stripe will guide you through to connecting your Stripe account with our platform
  • After you finish the Stripe onboarding process, you’ll be redirected back to our website, and your account will be fully set up and ready to accept payments.

Set up Stripe Devices

Setting up Stripe Devices

NOTE: Only brand owners are able to set up EMV devices at this time. 

 
  • Order a device from stripe. Ensure the device is under the SERVER-DRIVEN column. Devices under different columns are not guaranteed to be supported. 
  • Based on the device purchased from stripe, stripe has separate set-up instructions for that specific device
  • Once the device has been powered on and connected to the internet, it now needs to be registered to the POS
  • Click on the circle account button in the top right corner of your screen, then select “System Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  • In System Settings, go to the "EMV Devices" tab under the “Payment” section. 
  • Ensure that the correct location is selected. The location is displayed in the top right half of the screen.
  • Hit the + icon in the top right corner of the table
  • Enter a display name and the registration code on the device
  • Verify that all information is correct and then click the "Save" button

 

Card Not Present Transactions

  • The following section explains how to take transactions when the customer is not present
  • Hit the + button at the top right corner of Manage Payments table
  • Select the "Manual Entry" option
  • Enter the customer's card information and hit Pay Now
  • Refresh the page until a payment shows up on the contract
  • Cards are automatically saved for future payments
  • To use a card for a future payment, select “Use Existing Card” when processing payments

Card Present Transactions

  • The following section explains how to use the Stripe Payment devices to capture payments when the customer presents their card
  • Hit the + button at the top right corner of Manage Payments table
  • Select the "Swipe Card" option
  • Choose a transaction type (Sale/Auth)
  • Choose the payment type (Total + Deposit, Total Amount, Deposit, Other)
  • Choose the lane 
  • Hit the save button
  • A prompt should pop up on the payment device for a customer to insert their card
  • Once the customer has completed the transaction, refresh the page until a payment shows up on the contract

Capture Card Details Through Payment Device

  • Follow these steps in order to save the card payment details for future payments through the Stripe Payment device
  • Select the "Swipe Card" option
  • Choose a transaction type (Sale/Auth)
  • Choose the payment type Other
  • Set the amount to 0
  • Choose the lane 
  • Hit the save button
  • Once the customer has completed the transaction, refresh the page until a payment shows up on the contract.
  • The card can now be used by selecting “Use Existing Card” when processing payments.
