Editing fees on a contract

This article explains how to add or adjust mandatory and optional fees on a rental contract.

First Steps

Navigate to the Rental Search tab located in the Counter section.

Enter the confirmation number of the rental contract you want to update in the search box.

When the rental contract appears, select the pencil (Edit) icon to open the contract.

Mandatory Fees

Mandatory fees can be edited directly from the contract configuration.

Select Configuration in the top-right corner of the screen.

Locate the mandatory fee and change the price as needed.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save.

Optional Fees

Optional fees must be added manually to the contract.

On the right side of the screen, locate the Fees section.

Select the “+” (Add Fee) icon above the list of applied fees.

In the pop-up window, select Add Fee in the top-right corner

.

Choose the fee you want to add to the contract.

Select Save in the bottom-right corner of the pop-up.

Confirm that the new fee now appears in the list of applied fees.

Note: Some fees, such as the Additional Driver or Young Driver Fee, cannot be added ad hoc, because they are contingent on another action. For example, having an additional driver automatically adds the additional driver fee.

Smart Fees:

  • Age Fee
  • Delviery
  • Driver Fee
  • Drop Fee
  • Fuel Fee
  • Out-of-hours fee

Note: If the fee does not show up under the Add Fee, please refer to:

Add/Edit Taxes and Mandatory Fees

Within the Cost Breakdown, fees without an edit icon must be modified through the Configuration modal.

To begin editing taxes and fees, click the Configuration button.

The Fees tab will display a list of applicable fees for the contract.

To delete a fee, click on the trashcan icon.

To edit a fee, update the fee amount and click save.

To add a fee, click on the Add Fee dropdown and select the fee you want to add.

Note:

In order to add a fee, the location must have the fee set in the Fees and Taxes tab.

This tab does not allow the modification of the Calculation Method. If the Calculation Method has been changed in the location, then you must delete the fee from the contract and add it back to reflect the new Calculation Method.
